What is Woodle?

Woodle is a word ladder puzzle. You start with a word and change one letter at a time — each step must be a real word — until you reach the target word. Try to match the shortest possible path.

What does premium unlock?

Woodle Premium unlocks unlimited random standard puzzles, Hard Mode (the daily Hard puzzle and unlimited random Hard puzzles), and the ability to create your own Custom puzzles to play and share. Playing a custom puzzle that someone shares with you is always free — see below.

Is premium a subscription?

No. Woodle Premium is a one-time purchase of $2.99 (USD; prices may vary by region). There is no subscription and no recurring billing.

How do I restore purchases?

Open the premium screen in the app (tap a locked feature such as Hard or Custom), or open “How to play,” and tap Restore Purchases. Your premium unlock is tied to your Apple Account, so it can be restored on any device signed in with the same Apple Account.

Why am I limited to 3 random puzzles?

Free players get the daily puzzle plus 3 random standard puzzles each day. The daily puzzle is always available even after you have used your three random puzzles. Woodle Premium removes the daily limit for unlimited play.

How do custom puzzles work?

In Custom mode you choose a target word from an approved built-in dictionary of 4- and 5-letter words, and the app finds a solvable starting word for you. You can share a custom puzzle with a friend; the share contains only the two puzzle words so they can play the exact same puzzle. There is no chat or open messaging. Creating custom puzzles is a Premium feature.

Do I need Premium to play a puzzle a friend shared with me?

No. Playing a custom puzzle that someone shares with you is free, even without Premium — just open their link and play. Premium is only needed to create your own custom puzzles.

How do I report an issue?

Email woodle.support@gmail.com with a short description of the problem, your device model, and your iOS version. If it relates to a specific word or puzzle, please include it so we can look into it.
